If you’re relocating because your home needs repairs as a result of Hurricane Matthew or Tropical Storms Julia and Hermine, the state offers resources to help in affected areas. The NC Housing Finance Agency provides funding to participating local organizations for the rehabilitation of owner-occupied homes in disaster-affected counties. These local organizations determine if you are eligible and if so, contract for and supervise the work. To learn more and find a participating organization in your area, go to http://www.nchfa.com/current-homeowners/repair-your-home/single-family-rehabilitation-program/.
